that is beautiful. how did it look once the sun was obscured?

Based on some similar pictures that I later took, the sun was still pretty much shining brightly as there weren’t a lot of clouds that blocked or obscured it during that time.
The sun later became a dark orange and left a reddish-orange glow in the sky afterwards as it continued its descent, eventually being blocked by the mountains below.
